Esme is a graduate from the McTimoney College of chiropractic and has been in practice since 2009. She works full time within our team here at Wootton Chiropractic.
Esme works in general practice and treats patients of all ages. In her practice, she uses neurological and orthopedic assessment skills to evaluate the development and function of her patients, enabling them to gain maximum benefits from any necessary treatment.
Over the years, Esme has focused her ongoing training on pregnancy, postnatal care, newborns, and pediatric conditions. She has a particular interest in oral myofunctional therapy and how it can impact the entire body from developmental years through to older patients.
Esme collaborates with dentists and orthodontists in the community and is a certified Myomunchee practitioner. For her newborn patients (0-18 months), she assesses each patient individually and prescribes the necessary product alongside chiropractic care. For patients who do not reside on the Isle of Wight, Esme now offers Zoom consultations and can provide prescriptions as needed—just contact us for further information.
Local health visitors and medical professionals often refer newborns and children to Esme for bodywork related to tongue tie. She is trained in tongue tie assessment and can diagnose and assess your baby’s condition, referring for further investigation when necessary.
Esme also collaborates closely with various practitioners in the community to support patients of all ages throughout their treatment journey.
Outside of the clinic, Esme is a mother of two and enjoys spending time with her family. She embraces the outdoor, active lifestyle here on the Island. As a child, Esme herself received chiropractic care, and she appreciates firsthand the positive impact it can have from a young age.
All adult, paediatric, pregnant or post-natal appointments can be booked online via our website.
If you have seen Esme previously at another chiropractic clinic, and would like to make another appointment to see her please let us know when booking, as we may need to ask to you to complete an additional form prior to your appointment.
If your child has seen Esme previously for an initial course of treatment and you would like them to see Esme again regarding an existing or new condition, You are welcome to book follow up appointments for your child at any point throughout their childhood up to age 18.
If your chiropractor's diary is fully booked and you need to be seen imminently, we recommend that you book an appointment with them at the next availability and please do let us know so that you can be added to their cancellation list.
Alternatively, we are happy for you to be treated by one of the other chiropractors within our practice if they have availability sooner.
We work as a team here and your health is our priority.
If you have not been treated at our practice before, you will need to book yourself in as a new patient.
Our chiropractors' diaries can often be booked up a few weeks in advance. With this in mind, if you decide to book yourself in for an initial consultation/treatment, it is strongly advised to also pre-book a "routine appointment" a week after this initial appointment, at a time that suits you better.
This can always be cancelled nearer the time if it is not needed, but by the time a patient comes in for their initial appointment, there is often very little, if any availability the following week, which may compromise the progress of the treatment plan.
Some of our treatment rooms are upstairs in our practice. If you have a disability or feel unable to use the stairs, please let us know when you book your appointment, so that we can accommodate this and ensure that there is a ground floor treatment room available when you come to the clinic.
